Ryder University in Lawrenceville NJ
Ryder was building a new soccer field and these 30 year old storage buildings were in a position where they would face the new bleachers. After their restoration, there is no reason for concern.

Eastern State Penitentiary
"A most dreadful, fearful place" - - Charles Dickens on his visit to the prison in 1842. Eastern State Penitentiary was Built in the late 1820's and remained in operation until 1971. This breathtaking fortress was inspired by the Philadelphia Quakers and their principles of penitence and reform. Built as the first true penitentiary in the United States, Eastern State opened in 1889 with designs on rehabilitating criminals through solitary confinement, leaving convicts alone to meditate on their crimes with the hope that they would become penitent - hence the term "penitentiary". Eighty-four years later, faced with a growing number of inmates and little room for expansion, the original theory was discarded and Eastern State became a traditional prison. That form held for 60 more years until the grounds were abandoned and inmates were transferred to other facilities in 1971. The confinement yards, tiny exercise yards, rusted iron gates and stark death row are now a part of the Philadelphia Park System and are open for tours. Calbar is part of the ongoing restoration to save much of the old Terne roofing that remains on the building.
